Bob's Bible
Bob’s Bible comes from a haul I acquired at Half Price Books. I’m not super fond of the cover; it’s from a period back in the 70’s and 80’s when printers thought laminated card-stock was a great way to do things. The cover is interesting though in that it’s the first time I’ve ever seen one like it personalized.
I may have seen TEV in the dropdown list at Bible Gateway, but this is the first time I’ve ever held one in my hand. Reading random passages, it does seem as though they’ve got an easy-reading version here, but I can’t speak to the quality of the translation.
This Bible is especially interesting in that it’s not a children’s Bible but it does have these neat little line drawings throughout, illustrating and emphasizing various points:

Bob gets started underlining in Habakkuk, and continues a bit in Timothy and Hebrews…

…but his main focus seems to be Revelation, and what it portends for the Church/church.

He has some interesting notes in chapter 6:

His last note says “Final World Economic System”, but his underline is above the only thing that seems to refer to any sort of economics.
Having done a few Bibles now, I think I’m falling into a nice pattern of what I’m after. As with this post, I want to describe each Bible generally, maybe hit some interesting highlights, and then dig a little at the notes in the margins, because that’s where the two-way relationship really seems to shine. I have a bunch more Bibles to get to from this Half Price haul, and then a really special find that came to me from my Dad. I am also still looking for reader submissions!

I think it's so interesting to see someone else's Bible. It makes you wonder who the person was. Hopefully, you will meet them in heaven.
